All Religions Are the Same? Hardly!

By Grace Kemp
I came across this on the Internet recently.
Writer "Josh" nails it!
All religions are not the same. They teach vastly different things, though most people don't look into them enough to know the differences.
For example, Hinduism teaches man is reincarnated many times, that cows are higher (holier?) than people, that one should worship idols.
The Bible says man dies once and then is judged (Hebrews 9:27, "...It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment…"), that cows are animals under man's dominion, and that people should not make any kind of idols, nor worship anything but God Himself (Exodus 20:3-5).
The Muslim religion teaches violence against those that do not follow their religion: "...Fight associates [those who do not follow the Muslim religion are called associates] wherever you may find them; take them and besiege them, and waylay them at every outpost... Fight them so God may punish them at your hands and disgrace them, and support you against them... Fight any disbelievers who hem you in so they may find out how tough you are..." (Qur'an, Chapter 9, Dispensations).
The Bible says just the opposite:
"…love thy neighbor as thyself." (Mark 12:30)
All religions teach that you must do good works (dharma, karma, etc.) to be accepted by God.
But the Bible teaches man cannot be good enough to stand before a holy, perfect God. Not by his own good works, man can't be good enough, that is.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Also,
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us..." (Titus 3:5)
The Muslim religion won't allow women into their mosques as, according to their religion, women don't have souls.
In the Hindu religion one of their thirty-three million gods cut off his own son's head, then replaced it with an elephant head.
Buddhists pray to their dead ancestors.
Some religions worship snakes, rocks, trees, evil spirits, etc., etc.
From all of this, one thing is obvious: God created us with a desire to know Him. Many, however, are searching in the wrong direction.
Truth does not contradict itself. Truth is truth.
God does not contradict Himself. He does not say one thing in one religion and a completely opposite thing in another.
There is only one God, but the question arises, "Which one?"
Jesus made it all clear when He said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: No man cometh unto the Father but by me."
Simply put, you can't get to heaven by any other way than Jesus.
That Jesus was God in human flesh is taught throughout the New Testament.
As is the fact that there is one God. One way, one truth, and one life, and it is found only in Jesus.
If this is not the truth, then Jesus was a liar.
If He was a liar, then He was not even a good man. Check Him out! What kind of life did He live? You won't find any fault in His life and you see only proof that He was God when He arose from the dead of His own power.
Mohammed died. Buddha died. Jesus died.
But only Jesus arose from the dead!
Only Jesus died as a sacrifice for our sins; He died to take the punishment we should have to take for our own sins.
In other words, to pay our sin-debt to God for us. Only Jesus arose from the grave.
Yes, there is a big difference in religions. Only Jesus promises and delivers peace to those who follow Him.
But we must be careful that we come to God His way and not our own way.
